Crafting and Cats - A Typical Sunday Afternoon

Is it just me, or do cats get more and more cuddly when they can see you're distracted doing something other than fussing or feeding them?

This afternoon, my (not so) little boy Charlie, figured out how to get my attention when I am trying to craft... First, he stared. When he realised that wasn't working, he started to come a bit closer. Then he leaned (Standing on the edge of the bed), he leaned as far as he could and stared some more. When I still didn't stop what I was doing he jumped, and landed right in the middle of my inked up cardstock! I don't think I have ever moved so quickly to close up the open ink!

I thought I would see what would he do if I didn't fuss him? Apparently he would curl up on the desk and sleep... so I got up and fed him early... cheeky boy!

I did manage to have a rather productive weekend however!

I cleared, sorted and reorganised my crafty space.

I changed the layout of my blog, did you notice? What do you think?!

I put together one of the card kits for my next card making group. This class is all about making cards for men. It's now that I realise I have so many feminine stamps and not that many suitable for the guys! That's something that will need to be updated (*sarcastic voice* Oh no, not another order (yay!))

I also got a bit messy, playing with some Brusho, some inks, sponge daubers...

I finally got round to trying out the Delightfully Detailed laser cut paper, and oh that is going to be so much fun when I get to play with some of the suites from the new catalogue!

Another year older, another year...wiser?

Happy Easter Sunday everyone!

So yesterday was my birthday and I always end up thinking, am I supposed to feel different, older, wiser?!

I have decided no, no I'm not!

I did treat myself to a very grown up, very gorgeous new duvet set... which is lovely, and now has a HUGE Stitch plush toy (from Disney's Lilo and Stitch) sat in the middle! (Thanks to my good friend Clive for that birthday pressie!)

Anyhow, onto crafts, as I am sure that is why you're here!

I have been really busy with lots of lovely things in the pipeline.

As you hopefully know by now, the new catalogue is coming out on June 3rd, so very exciting, there are some stunningly beautiful new products that I can't wait to share with you!
However with the new catalogue, this means some of the current catalogue will be retiring!!

The Lovely as a Tree is the biggie for me that is going, it has apparently been around for years, loved by all... And I didn't get a chance to play with it! So sad :( Link below to that beauty!

I've got a new craft space!

Hello everyone!

I hope this post finds you all well and hopefully there is tea and cake somewhere in your near future! (If not, get some, it is my birthday month and everyone should celebrate with me!)

After taking over my house with Stampin' Up! crafty goodness, I felt it was time to actually create a space for myself to work and play.

I only have a little house and I don't really have the room (unless I move my housemate out, but he helps to fund my hobby!) and so I have designated a small corner of my bedroom for a desk and I am now sat here using said desk, in the small (OK so it isn't as compact as I thought it would be!) corner, ignoring all the things I had to move aside to fit the desk in... but I have a desk, and a crafty space, and I am happy! The rest can wait!

There will be photos to follow, but at the moment it is a little on the chaotic side!!
